Japanese PM: World Should Learn from Cambodia's Peaceful Spirit

PHNOM PENH: Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio praised the Cambodian people's spirit of peace-building, which has led to the country's current development.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on the evening of 20 March 2022, Prime Minister Kishida Fumio mentioned Japan's Peacekeeping Operations in Cambodia 30 years ago. He expressed his pride in Cambodia's progress for peace and the unity of the people that made Cambodia as peaceful as it is today.

"Should learn from Cambodia's spirit of peace as the world is now living in a worrying time," he said.

Prime Minister Kishida Fumio also announced the continued support of Cambodia to promote the current peace to grow even more.
